Didn’t the Virgin Mary dress like Muslim women?
She did, she veiled herself as well. She dressed modestly, just how Muslim women are supposed too. In fact, in the Holy Qur’an, there is a whole Chapter dedicated to her and is named the Chapter of Mary.
Does this mean that she was oppressed, like Muslim women? She chose to veil, and that’s what Muslim women choose. It doesn’t mean they’re oppressed.
The Virgin Mary did dress how Muslim ladies do, as was the clothing of most women back then. If she were alive today she most certainly would not wear pants and low cut tops like women do these days.
I think what Muslim ladies wear is great. They are modest which most people these days are not. It definitely doesn’t mean they’re oppressed
