what would happen if a regular abaya shop at the mall started selling abayas other than black?

i mean the same every day black abayas, the over the head abyas.. what if they start making them navy blue or gray or purple. Do you think Saudi women will start wearing them?

hahahaha! I already own a variety of different colored abayas..
I have a nice cream colored one, a darker beige/brown one, a light teal blue, a deep purple (almost black) and a royal blue one…. Ive had grey ones in the past also..
Doesnt bother me in the slightest.. I have so many nicely colored scarves that match them also..
AND no, none of my saudi relatives wear anything but black, but I guess im the rebel in the bunch.. they never say anything to me about it..
Once I was wearing the beige one to my daughters school and some lady there asked me if I was her housemaid.. (hahahahaha!) I guess she never assumed a saudi mother would wear anything other than black.. .. Doesnt bother me, im not embarrassed by it.. I love them.. they also are less hot.. dont soak up the heat at much..
so if you see some quirky mom in khobar walking down through the mall in a purple abaya with two hyper kids.. (dont call me out).. hahahaha!..
