How do i survive a 7 hour coach jouney with a baby?
I am going to be taking my 5 month on a 7 hour coach trip and i just want some advice on how to make the coach journey enjoyable. At the time of the journey he will be 6 months old.
I will be taking with me – nappies, wipes, nappy sacks, milk, muslin cloths, bibs, a change of clothing, baby food, dummy (pacifier) a rattle, his favourite soft toy and a blanket.
Can you think of anything else i will need to take with me for my son and also if you have any tips on how to keep a baby happy on such a long journey.
Also to add – he will be sitting on my lap as the coach journey does not allow car seats to be take on board and my husband will be accompanying us on the journey.
Try and keep baby awake in the hours leading up to the trip so baby will be more inclined to sleep for at least a portion of the journey..
Tag team parenting, if one of you get frustrated due to fussiness or crying let the other handle it and move away a bit for a few minutes to let yourself relax and calm a bit…
Try and sit near a window passing scenery can often keep baby occupied for a while..
Don’t introduce something new until baby tires of what he/she has, I.E. don’t get the rattle out until the soft toy isn’t cutting it anymore..
Get a couple soft book of activities books for baby… My children were really into the ones that made sounds when they were about 7 months..
